Silver Wedding Anniversary Party for 24

An Afternoon Party

25 years of marriage is certainly something to celebrate.and a late afternoon reception is a nice way to do it.

A silver motif is the easiest to achieve. If you have beautiful silver - coffee, tea or punch bowl, sandwich or cake plates, trays or candlesticks, you can use those. If you don't own them, you can rent most of these things very reasonably. Silver can be in your decorating with or without them. Try  tablecloths of white or pale gray and use centerpieces of blue iris. Down the table you can place silver leaves and silver balls of different sizes. (Christmas tree balls would work) Coffee goes at one end of the main table , tea at the other and the punch bowl in-between, or on a separate table.

The Menu

Serve very tiny meatballs in a silver chafing dish, speared with a cocktail pick, with a bowl of barbecue sauce close by.

Small tea sandwiches are easy to make ahead.

Coffee, tea and punch are the only beverages you need to serve.

An anniversary cake can be made or ordered from your local bakery.

That sounds delightful! We didn't get a party for ours and now we are up to 35! I guess we will have to wait for that 50th - so could you do one up for that in the next couple of years or so....no rush!

A posh tea sounds a good idea. We will hit 40 years in two years time, all being well. Perhaps you could create a 40 years hub

Ethel, I would be happy to create a 40th anniversary party. 40 years is the ruby anniversary, so the celebration would be on the ruby theme. Give me some time and I will come up with it.

Some super 25th anniversary ideas! Ours was last year, but I don't see why most of these ideas wouldn't work for any anniversary( Minus the 25 on the cake & not for your 50th!) Great hub!

Nifty, you're correct! These ideas can be incorporated into any anniversary. 26th anniversary gift ideas would be "original pictures." and so on.
