Reception Site Flowers

First of all, if you do not have a bridal consultant, make a floral worksheet with your florist's name, phone number, address, contact person, date ordered, time of delivery, location of delivery, grand total, deposit and balance due.

Next list all of your floral needs, including the floral descriptions (size, color and style), and the cost.

In this hub, I'll be dealing with the reception site flowers.

The Bride's Table

The reception bride's table should be long and low or large and tall. Everyone wants to see the bride and groom, so make sure that the flowers do not hide them.

Here are some examples of flowers at the bride's table.

Parent's Table Flowers

These should be small centerpieces, but should stand out as a VIP table.

There is still an acceptance of new or different ways of doing things.

Guests Table Centerpieces

Guests should have small centerpieces for all the dining tables.

Roses are still the flowers of choice among brides. Roses that are open and in full bloom is trendy now, rather than in the traditional bud state.

Wedding Cake Flowers

Fresh flowers on a wedding cake can be beautiful and relieves the cost of detail work on the cake.

Arrangements include a variety of colors and highly fragrant blooms.

The Bride's Throwaway Bouquet

This bouquet is usually a nosegay, tied with long ribbons.

Flowers having several blossoms on one stem are gaining popularity, such as larkspur, lily of the valley and dendrobium orchid. These blooms achieve an open, airy effect.

Sometimes the throwaway bouquet is made of silk flowers, so the person catching it may use it as a keepsake.

Helpful hub. I'm making all the centerpieces, bouquets, corsages and boutonniers for a friend's wedding this July. Thanks for the ideas.
